Chelsea have completed the signing of of France and RB Leipzig winger Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman caught the eyes of many after having a brilliant campaign in the 2021/22 seasons. He scored twenty goals and provided thirteen assists last season, making him one of the most productive player in the German Bundesliga last season.
Chelsea have been on Nkunku for some while now, they actually kept signing the Frenchman concealed and went on to complete the deal before the final game of the 2022 World Cup. Christopher Nkunku will continue the season with RB Leipzig but will join Chelsea on June 2023 when the next transfer window opens.
All documents and contracts has been signed, Christopher Nkunku might as well be regarded as a Chelsea player it is just only a matter of time. The Frenchman won't have much competition at Chelsea next season as the likes of Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Romelu Lukaku, and Callum Hudson-odoi might leave the club permanently in the next transfer window.
Chelsea began the Christopher Nkunku move probably before Graham Potter took over from Thomas Tuchel. It would have been lovely to see Nkunku work under his former PSG boss, or will it? Christopher Nkunku was constantly played out of position during his time at Paris Saint Germain under Thomas Tuchel's managerial team.
